Laura Burnham is a seasoned entrepreneur and real estate professional, known for her expertise in land development and acquisitions, as well as luxury hospitality. With a passion for real estate finance and a keen eye for off-market opportunity, she has successfully navigated the complexities of the industry, establishing herself as a prominent go-to advisor across the Greater Denver, Colorado; Teton Valley, Idaho; Jackson, Wyoming and Greater Salt Lake City, Utah markets. Her uniquely polished expertise serves a growing list of clients throughout the Mountain West and select luxury vacation destinations.
Laura’s career trajectory has been marked by notable roles in various esteemed companies. She began her journey in luxury hospitality development and management with Vail Resorts | RockResorts, where she supported growth of the brand’s luxury hotel and vacation rental portfolio, including the acquisition of a 400-unit property management company in South Lake Tahoe. Subsequently, she transitioned to finance and portfolio expansion positions at Prologis, Miller Global Properties, and Inspirato, gaining valuable experience in real estate acquisitions, private equity investment strategies and financial underwriting, essential skills that would later define her success in land development. Her aptitude for driving new business growth was substantiated while at Inspirato, where she brought 37 new homes across 14 vacation markets into the company’s luxury rental portfolio, generating over 2,600 booked nights and $4.7 million in gross revenue. She was recognized for producing the highest annual number of new properties to the luxury home collection, two years in a row.
Laura’s career took a significant turn when she joined Lee Alpert and Company, overseeing the financial underwriting and entitlement of The Canyons, a 3,400-acre master-planned community in Castle Pines, Colorado. This experience fueled her passion for land development, prompting her to further explore opportunities in the field. She subsequently served as a key player in land and lot acquisition efforts for national homebuilders, David Weekley Homes and Century Communities, Inc. Her tenure as Director of Land Acquisition highlighted her leadership and strategic vision in identifying and acquiring land for residential development projects. She successfully sourced and closed on over 500 lots for David Weekley, expanding their presence 3X across the Greater Denver Metro, at the time. During her time at Century Communities, she sourced 85 land and lot deals for upper management, including a 6-owner infill land assemblage on 11 acres in Littleton, Colorado that remains a keynote development for the company today.
In 2019, Laura founded Central Street Land Company, specializing in land brokerage, owner representation, and investment. Between 2020 to 2024, Central Street closed over $160 million in land transactions on behalf of landowners, homebuilders and developers in Colorado and Utah. She was named the #2 Top Commercial Broker Nationally for EXP Commercial in 2022, based on closing volume. Central Street has also purchased, entitled and sold two residential communities to homebuilders in Colorado, totaling 138 lots and $10.4 million in lot sales.
